Edith Cruz was born in Union City, NJ and raised in Kansas City, MO. Her dance career began at the age of 8 where she trained at MelRoe’s School of Dance in Independence, MO. Edith has more than 15 years of experience in the competitive dance field including styles in jazz, contemporary, jazz funk, heels, lyrical, musical theatre, ballroom and tap. Edith has danced alongside artists including Dwayne “Money Bo” Bowe and Tamba Ali. She has choreographed for artists like Heather Fay and Strange Music’s May Day. As a graduating senior captain and national champion of University of Missouri-Kansas City dance team, Edith also has more than seven years of experience choreographing for competitive high school and college dance teams. Edith’s most recent training include Cisco Ruelas, Sienna Lyons, and Cameron Lee. Edith has been featured in local Kansas City media outlets including ByDesign Magazine, KCTV5 News and KC Options.
